Crying uncle - Sing With Me If It's Just For Today... — LiveJournal
If I should fall behind, Guyster, wait for me.
Crying uncle
Okay. I give. Last night I watched two episodes of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy. Conceptually I still find it dreary but I couldn't turn away. When the messy blond fashion expert randomly said, "Show me where the bad man touched you," I busted up. I liked the Fred Flinstoney guy before they got to him and made his poor wife eat foie gras, but they did a great job on the long-haired carpenter/artist.

During the part where they watch their mark getting ready and utilizing their lessons on hidden cameras, I got a little uncomfortable but only because of their running commentary. The truth is, if I were alone peeping in on him getting ready for the Big Date, I'd have my pants around my ankles.

pants around the ankles, you know I found that just taking em all the way off gives me more sense of being naughty and a bit more freedom. ;-)

I feel like you do--it's dreary, yet hypnotic at the same time. That's TV for ya in the new millenium!

I dropped by a friend's to watch the hippie artist episode, and was amused at points more because it reminds me how fun it is to actually sit around with your most faggotronic friends and be mean to straight people. Plus you gotta love how incredibly awful the fashion guru looks, given his gung-ho attitude. Now I want my own show--"Misanthrope's Eye for the Human Guy"

In my opinion....

Queer Eye For The Straight Guy is brilliant and the best show currently on television. Absolutely hysterical, incredibly well edited, and cleverly scored. I think the editing makes the show. They hit the joke just right and move to the next in rapid fashion. The pacing is brilliant.
