If I should fall behind, Guyster, wait for me.
Last night and today....
Yesterday was divided between the ridiculous stress of this Guffman show and the unbearable sadness of being. The stress won the bout by demanding more of my attention and that is just fine by me.

Last night, our friend, Dean, took me out to all-you-can-eat sushi buffet and I stuffed myself to the point of an allergic reaction to the soy sauce. It wasn't anything extreme; just plugged sinuses for a few hours and well worth it. I came home and found a box of chocolate and a Valentines card from our next door neighbor Pat. She is a southern woman who is an amazing cook and of a very generous heart. After futzing on the computer for an hour, Bob and I retired downstairs to bed, crawled in with our chocolate and watched TV until 3am.

At 10:30 this morning, Bob decided enough was enough, and I had to get out of bed immediately to tend to his outdoor needs. I accomplished so many errands today that had been neglected for far too long. I took Bob along for the ride as he loves riding around with me in the car and watching the world pass by. Every time I start the car, he cocks his head and looks at the ignition as if it were a brand new experience. We also made a trip to the vet where he got some blood work done, which came back a-ok and a refill on his Rymadil, medicine for his arthritis. He's doing pretty good for a 12 year old.

Tonight I am taking Mickey, Ricky and Tommy out to PF Changs for dinner. More soy sauce. This time I will be armed with Afrin.

Your Bob and our Baxter seem to have a lot in common.

Baxter loves to ride in the car too. He used to be relegated to the space behind the back seat of our van. However, he made it clear that he much prefers the front passenger seat, where he can view the view more regally, a space he now occupies. He sometimes almost looks like he'll break in to a Queen Mother-like wave, know what I mean?

Re: Bob

I know exactly what you mean. Bob sits there, sometimes with the seat belt on, and makes sure my driving does not get out of hand. If I go too fast, I get a side glance telling me to slow down.
