One of my favorite recurring images of Billy is him walking toward me at Santa Monica Place with his hot dog on a stick and lemonade. He sat down and I remember the look of love on his face when he bit into it. No matter what else any food court would offer, it was Hot-Dog-On-A-Stick for him.

I'm always afraid that I'll forget everything I know about someone I love when they pass...like..I dunno..that I won't be able to remember all of the little things, you know? Sometimes it scares me....

I was born in Illinois. Morris, IL. My grandparents live in Odin, just outside of Centralia in Southern Illinois.

I'm afraid of the same thing. That's why I like writing them down. I also like putting them on here because I want to share what a great guy Billy was. Also putting the stories on here forces me to frame them and be a better writer. It's the details of someone's life that really counts.

I totally know Odin. My grandparents were from Goreville which neighbors Centralia. You must come from good stock : )
