This morning I burned some stuff for the demo and am about to go into the studio to crank it out. Since I have conflicting directives on what the demo is supposed to accomplish, I am shooting in the dark and will just do my best.

I just had lunch at Art's with Tommy G. Tommy is an old friend who I went on tour with when he was Howie Mandel's opening act on Howie's first national tour in 1985. He is an awesome and spiritual and funny guy. Seeing him again was like slipping on a comfortable old robe. I hadn't seen Tommy for years but we reconnected at Howie's son's bar mitzvah and I know now make it a habit of seeing him and his wife, Rose, on a regular basis.

Off to the studio. Oy.

It took three hours to complete the demo. I used all of the notes from the increasing number of cooks in the kitchen. I chose three pieces of music to loop throughout the demo (Break Ya Neck by Busta Rhymes, Smack My Bitch Up by Prodigy and Hardon For Jesus by The Dandy Warhols). I got the demo down to under three minutes and chose tasty clips from Dave Attell, Robert Schimmel and Doug Stanhope (all three very angry, bitter and funny comics). I let three friends (not those who I made the demo for) listen and they said it was the worst one I have done yet.

All you gotta do is nod your fucking head.......

I have some sort of conflict between my Phoeniz LJ and my iTunes application. Sometimes it crashes although not right now. Man does that make me feel lucky! Maybe I should go buy a lotto ticket.

I'm going downstairs now and turning off the computer. Time for TV and Bob cuddling.
